DIAMOND-MAX SA is not compatible with traditional black & white chemistry and is not intended for long term display or archival keeping as a replacement for traditional black & white paper.
Mitsubishi Variable Contrast B & W Paper
Mitsubishi Paper Mills, LTD has introduced a new black & white variable contrast enlargement paper, GEKKO MULTI. GEKKO MULTI is a fast, medium weight,
non-developer incorporated paper with a resin coating which can be used in both enlargers and automatic printers.
GEKKO MULTI features a high quality silver chloro bromide emulsion, which produces a neutral image
tone. The exceptional whites, deep blacks and superior image sharpness, characteristics of Mitsubishi Black & White papers, give GEKKO MULTI a fine art look in a RC paper. With excellent contrast range, GEKKO MULTI
retains highlights with no vailing in the shadows. This paper will be a favorite for home darkrooms and professionals alike.
GEKKO MULTI can produce an image from a soft tone to an exceptionally hard tone due to the
emulsion incorporating both blue and green sensitivities. The blue light sensitive portion of the emulsion yields high contrast images while the green light sensitive portion forms a low contrast image. By using a multi
filter set, contrast ranges from 0-5 are available, in half grade increments from a single paper. This feature allows stocking of a single paper type that can be printed with any negative yielding any desired contrast.
GEKKO MULTI paper is available on an `F' (glossy) or a `N' (matte) surface.
DIAMOND MAX and GEKKO MULTI papers are available in all popular sizes and can be custom sized for large volumes.
