If you're considering the move up to a more productive processor, the KM4 represents an affordable investment that allows for future growth. Whether a high production color lab, studio, or photo finishing operation, the KM4 is you best choice today...and tomorrow.
Designed using the latest technologies, the KM4 is a processor with features that assure the highest quality and trouble free film and print processing available.
The KM4 utilizes an advanced computer system that automatically controls operating parameters with extreme accuracy for greater processing consistency.
The digital display is continually updated showing the status of processing functions. Should a change or adjustment be necessary, a membrane keyboard with international symbols permits easy data entry. Keyboard operation is simple and requires only a few minutes to learn.
Each square inch of material entering the processor is computer scanned, assuring accurate chemical replenishment.
Wash/dryer cycles, on/off times, and automatic stand-by are also computer controlled, providing maximum energy savings.
Options including water panels, chemical blending systems and mixers are available to make your job simple, efficient, and productive.
Offering higher performance and less maintenance through innovative design, the Kreonite KM4 is your best investment now...and for the future.

For over 45 years, Kreonite has been recognized as the leading manufacturer of quality products for the photographic industry. In the years ahead, Kreonite will continue to design innovative products for meeting the changing needs of the photographic industry.

Computer Precision and Control...

The KM4 automatically controls temperatures, development times, and replenishment rates, assuring a high degree of processing accuracy. Chemical temperatures can be programmed to within 1/10th of a degree F., development times to the second, and replenishment rates to the milliliter. Processing parameters are continuously monitored, adjusted, and re-checked automatically by the computer, maintaining process control with unmatched precision.

Simplified Keyboard Controls and Digital Display...

The KM4 membrane keyboard permits easy data entry. Completely programmable, you can switch from processing color prints to Duratrans(tm) as simply as pushing a button. An 80-character alpha-numeric display instantly verifies operator input and processor status.
Audible signals will also alert you of improper keyboard entries and processor parameters that are out of tolerance.
A feed end digital display allows various processor modes and functions to be monitored and changed from the darkroom.

Advanced Replenishment System...

The KM4 replenishment system provides  on the feed table detecting material entering the processor. The computer constantly monitors each square inch of material being processed, and activates metering pumps for the proper amount of replenishment and no wasted chemicals.

Cost Saving Features...

Providing  the KM4 computer monitors material entering the processor and controls on/off times for the transport, wash water and dryer cycles. The wash water rate can be maintained at the absolute minimum based on the actual square footage of the material being processed.
While in the stand-by mode, all unnecessary processor functions are shut down automatically, saving utility costs and minimizing wear and tear on the processor.
Tempered water is not required to maintain solution temperatures, which further reduces operation costs.

Thermal Resin Tanks... are manufactured from a special thermal resin material with great durability and insulating properties. Thermal resin tanks are highly resistant to stress cracking and chemical corrosion. Tanks can be changed individually to accommodate future process specifications.

Roll Feed and Take-Up System...The feed table on the KM4 allows simultaneous processing of roll and sheet material. An additional feature is a light-tight feed compartment. The take-up system allows processed material to be spooled onto take-up flanges.

Quality Craftsmanship... Kreonite products are built to provide years of dependable service.Processor panels are highly durable and stain resistant.
Tanks, transports, gears, and plumbing fittings are constructed from thermal resins and plastics specially designed to withstand the harshness of photographic chemicals. Processor frames are manufactured from stainless steel. providing corrosion resistance and strength.
With over 25,000 processors installed worldwide, Kreonite engineering and manufacturing continues a tradition of quality craftsmanship.

Transports...Kreonite''s transport design allows for easy process changes, reducing the chance for processor obsolescence. Transports can be shortened or lengthened to change the time that material is in solution. This is easily accomplished by adding or removing interlocking transport endplate sections. Kreonite utilizes specially designed roller bearings that eliminate wear and provide years of trouble-free service.

PAPER... KM4 print processors feature a self cleaning, socked roller transport system. This time proven design has been in use for over two decades in Kreonite processors worldwide. Kreonite''s transports utilize a ""soft against hard"" roller design. Socked rollers act as chemical applicators, providing gentle pressure and uniform agitation. This design greatly reduces leading edge peel back, and frilling of delicate emulsions. Squeegee rollers eliminate the need for water rinses between chemical steps.
